Spindle stock

The spindle stock is the assembly in a lathe that consists of the main spindle bearing, the main spindle and the drive. The material bars are held in place within the lathe by a collet. They are conveyed there automatically by an FMB loading magazine. The connection between a CNC lathe and bar loading magazine is formed by the steady with a guide tube or telescopic tube. From the guide channel, which may be flushed with oil for better bar guidance, the bars are automatically fed from the loading magazine into the lathe. The loading magazine can be charged by an optional bar lift, the integral material storage facility or an optional bundle loader. Remnant pieces are removed via the remnant flap. A loading magazine can provide the optimum solution for the automation of all kinds of machining processes, including single-spindle lathes – both fixed and sliding headstock – and multi-spindle lathes.
